“Restoring Hope Beyond Small Mercies”
Established in 2009, Archbishop Mar Gregorios Snehaveedu stands as a testament to the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum’s commitment to those most forgotten by society. Realized through the Major Archbishop’s Charity Fund, this home was created to serve as a permanent refuge for men who are both mentally and physically challenged.
A Mission to Uplift the Marginalized
The “hard realities of life” often fall most heavily on those who cannot keep pace with the modern world. Within and beyond the city of Trivandrum, many individuals find themselves marginalized or entirely deserted. Guided by an ardent desire to provide more than just temporary relief, His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos envisioned a place where the abandoned could rediscover their inherent human dignity.
Our Core Commitments at Snehaveedu:
Holistic Shelter: Providing a safe, permanent residence for men with no family or support system.
Essential Care: Ensuring that every resident is provided with the fundamental necessities of life—nutrition, healthcare, and clothing.
Restoring Dignity: Moving beyond “small mercies” to create an environment where residents feel valued, loved, and respected as human beings.
Compassionate Presence: Offering a specialized support structure for those facing complex mental and physical challenges.
